Hello!

First of all, I am sorry for the photos above which have the date stamp; that’s ugly. I enabled that feature on my camera for a project my wife assigned to me and forgot to disable it. Maybe I’ll get around to photoshopping it out. I hope so!

Welcome to my little corner. I am experimenting with Expression Engine, which is the CMS for this site, so expect to see some changes.

The photos above are generally from the Atlanta area: The Georgia Aquarium, Lake Winfield Scott, Alpharetta Greenway, and some shots from Preston Ridge in Alpharetta.

For you web folks, this site is built with tableless, transitional xhtml, and of course CSS. I want to make it fun for iPhone, but it does have some Fash. Doh!

I was in a tizzy

We all know the place, that famous burger place. I went in expecting something and did not get it. I thought I understood, I thought I did. The offer seemed clear to me. I did not get what I wanted, and a seed of hate got planted. Ah yes and like old Blake I watered it and shined on it, making it grow. Until now. I declare that here and now I’m pulling that weed. That weed will do no good for this old world.

Yay!

Missed

So I wrote an email to a dying friend,
and I never sent the damned thing.
It was finished. I could have just clicked send.
But I didn’t and he’s dead now.

It is still in my Drafts - with no where to go.
Pent up rain for a parched throat.
Where can it go? It floats in my head.
Bobbing up to remind me…

Potential energy perhaps. Potential love. Too raw?
Will I ever pluck it out? Will I ever let it free?
I don’t want it.

Go away bobber. I’ll not entertain you. I was not so close to him.
He did not need my love.
He was not really a friend.
Just a distant kin.

I’ll not entertain you - go away! It’s not mine.

It’s not mine.

Not mine.
